Tiffany Atalla, M.A. is a Licensed Mental Health Professional (MFT 47788). She earned her B.A. in Psychology and M.A. in Marriage Family and Child Counseling from the University of San Diego in 2006. She is the founder of Best Solutions Therapy, a private practice in Brea/ Yorba Linda that offers multi-modal and holistic approaches to treatment which includes specialized services such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness and Relaxation Training, Walk Talk Therapy, Lifestyle Weight Management Program, Prepare Enrich Couples Therapy and an Equine Assisted Psychotherapy Practice. She offers corporate team building retreats and has developed (EAGALA Certified) Equine Assisted Therapy programs, for many treatment centers across Orange and San Bernardino Counties.
Tiffany also works with The Counseling Team International as a specialist that treats Emergency Responders and provides educational trainings. She is trained as a professional capable of risk and depression assessments, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) and Critical Incident Stress Debriefing.Before joining TCTI, Tiffany worked as a clinician for the Psychiatric Emergency Response Team in San Diego. During the 40 hours a week in a police unit, Tiffany learned a great deal about the needs of the law enforcement community, while gaining valuable hands on emergency response experience. Tiffany also has background as a community mental health provider and Clinical Director for inpatient psychiatric center. Her specialties include: PTSD, anxiety disorders, depression, family/relational conflicts and working with adolescents.
Tiffany also teaches Crisis Intervention for the Human Service Department at California State University Fullerton. She values working with clients to find balance in their lives and often draws upon her background as a Yoga Practitioner to encourage clients to learn about relaxation and mindfulness techniques!
Recently, Tiffany was in 2 films produced about the ABC Model of Crisis Intervention. She was accepted to train with a Canine Companion Facility dog and looks forward to bringing on a service dog as a support into her practice soon! She is also co-editing and revising the new edition of the Benjamin Franklin Award winning book regarding pregnancy called “The Thirteen Months of Pregnancy, The Guide for the Pregnant Father.” The book will be republished at the end of this year.
Aside from her professional career, Tiffany enjoys spending time with her husband, Mark and her two young children Madelyn (4) and Kyle (2). They inspire her to learn and grow every day!
