THE STORY BEHIND OC SHRINKS
Starting as a small group of clinicians, OC Shrinks has grown into a dynamic, female-led community connecting over 10,000 mental health professionals across California and throughout the United States.
The heart of the community is simple — when clinicians know and trust each other, clients receive better care. And that’s what continues to guide its growth.♡
OC Shrinks was founded in 2013 by Newport Beach based psychotherapist Shelby Castile, LMFT, with one goal in mind: to make connection easier within the mental health community. What began as a small network of dedicated clinicians has grown into a female-founded, female-led community of more than 10,000 mental health professionals, treatment centers, and community partners across California and throughout the United States.
Shelby recognized a gap in the field: talented clinicians working independently, clients struggling to find the right fit, and community partners looking for stronger collaboration. OC Shrinks was created to help bridge those gaps through professional referrals, meaningful connections, and access to valuable resources.
Today, OC Shrinks is an established hub for professional networking, referrals, collaboration, and resource-sharing throughout Orange County and beyond. Through local events, professional partnerships, and an expanding resource network, the organization connects mental health professionals with the people, tools, and opportunities that help them grow and thrive.
Looking ahead, OC Shrinks remains committed to supporting clinicians at every stage of their careers, fostering meaningful collaboration, and strengthening the mental health community through connection, education, and shared resources.
