Terms of Service for OC Shrinks, Orange County Shrinks

1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing the OC Shrinks website, community platform, events, or membership services (collectively referred to as the “Platform”), you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.
2. Eligibility
OC Shrinks is a professional community designed primarily for licensed and pre-licensed mental health professionals, as well as professionals working in related mental health fields.
By joining or participating, you represent that you meet these criteria or are actively working toward licensure or professional involvement in the mental health field.
3. Professional Conduct
OC Shrinks is committed to maintaining a respectful, collaborative environment for mental health professionals.
Members agree to engage professionally and respectfully in all community spaces, including events, online discussions, and communications. OC Shrinks reserves the right to remove content, restrict access, or terminate membership for behavior that is disruptive, unethical, or inconsistent with professional standards.
4. Confidentiality & Client Privacy
Members must never share identifiable client or patient information within the OC Shrinks community or platform.
All case discussions must remain fully de-identified and compliant with HIPAA, ethical guidelines, and applicable privacy laws.
OC Shrinks is not a HIPAA-covered platform and should not be used to exchange protected health information.
5. Acceptable Use
Members agree not to:
Share identifiable client or patient information
Misrepresent professional credentials
Harass, discriminate against, or intimidate other members
Use the platform for unlawful purposes
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to platform systems
Engage in inappropriate solicitation or spam
6. Content & Community Contributions
Members retain ownership of the content they share within the community. By posting or sharing content, you grant OC Shrinks permission to display and distribute that content within the platform and related community communications.
OC Shrinks reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms.
7. Memberships, Sponsorships & Payments
Some OC Shrinks services, events, and community features require paid membership, sponsorship, or event registration.
Payment terms will be disclosed at the time of purchase. Unless otherwise stated, payments are generally non-refundable. OC Shrinks reserves the right to update membership benefits, pricing, or program structures with reasonable notice.
8. Events & Networking
OC Shrinks hosts networking events, workshops, and community gatherings.
Participation in these events is voluntary. Attendees are responsible for their own conduct and safety during events. OC Shrinks is not responsible for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property occurring in connection with event participation.
Attendance at events does not constitute clinical supervision, consultation, or endorsement of any attendee or organization.
9. Photography & Media
Events may occasionally be photographed or recorded for community and promotional purposes.
By attending OC Shrinks events, you grant permission for OC Shrinks to use photographs or recordings that may include your image in marketing, social media, or promotional materials. If you prefer not to appear in photos, please notify the event host.
10. Sponsors & Third-Party Services
OC Shrinks may feature sponsors, partners, or third-party service providers within the community or at events.
Inclusion does not constitute endorsement or guarantee of services. Members should conduct their own due diligence before engaging with third-party providers.
11. Disclaimer
The OC Shrinks platform and community resources are provided “as is.” Information shared within the community reflects the perspectives of individual members and does not constitute legal, clinical, or professional advice.
12. Changes to These Terms
OC Shrinks may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
